ELEKTRÁRNY OPATOVICE

With its maximum electric capacity of 363 MW and a total thermal capacity of 966 MW, ELEKTRÁRNY OPATOVICE (EOP) ranks among the leading energy suppliers in the Czech Republic. EOP supplies heat for almost 60,000 households in the Hradec Králové - Pardubice - Chrudim region and also for several hundred customers in the category of industrial installations and administrative, commercial, sport, health and cultural facilities. In 2010, EOP supplied its customers with a total of 4,422 TJ of heat. The heat supply system of Elektrárny Opatovice is comprised of approximately 290 km of heat supply networks. In 2010, EOP generated 2.02 TWh of electricity. www.eop.cz

 

PRAŽSKÁ TEPLÁRENSKÁ

PRAŽSKÁ TEPLÁRENSKÁ is the premier supplier of thermal energy in Prague. It supplies heat to 260,000 homes, a number of industrial plants, schools, institutions, and other business entities on the territory of Prague. It supplies approximately 14 PJ of heat to its customers every year, using proprietary distribution systems with a total length of approximately 700 km. Pražská teplárenská owns and operates cogeneration sources with a total installed capacity of 132 MWe for generating electricity and 1,707 MWt for generating heat. EPH's ownership interest in Pražská teplárenská amounts to 73 %. www.ptas.cz

 

UNITED ENERGY

United Energy is a major electricity and heat producer in the northern Bohemian region. It operates a combined heat & power plant at Komořany (near the town of Most) with a total installed electrical capacity of 239 MWe and a thermal capacity of 985 MWt. It supplies thermal energy to almost 35,000 flats in the towns of Most and Litvínov, and also to industrial companies, schools, health facilities, public authorities, and various institutions.

PLZEŇSKÁ ENERGETIKA

Plzeňská energetika is a leading electricity and heat producer in the western Bohemian region. It operates a combined heat & power plant with a total thermal capacity of 401 MWt and a total installed electrical capacity of 90 MWe. Plzeňská energetika supplies thermal energy to about 30% of all energy customers in Plzeň, in particular industrial companies.  www.pe.cz
