ELEKTRÁRNY OPATOVICE AND ELEKTRIZACE ŽELEZNIC PRAHA ALREADY A PART OF EPH

Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s. and Elektrizace železnic Praha, a.s. have become part of the ENERGETICKÝ A PRŮMYSLOVÝ HOLDING (EPH) Group. NPTH, a.s., which holds a 48.67 % interest in Pražská teplárenská, a.s., has also been transferred to the EPH Group.
Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s. (EOP) and Elektrizace železnic Praha, a.s. (EŽ) have been included into EPH together with their subsidiaries and other equity interests. For example, in the case of EŽ these are its subsidiaries TRAMO RAIL, a.s. (Czech Republic), Elektrizácia železníc Kysak a.s. (Slovak Republic) and Vasútvillamositó Kft. (Hungary). Elektrárny Opatovice has been transferred to EPH including its sister company NPTH, a.s., which holds a 48.67 % interest in Pražská teplárenská, a.s.
With its maximum electric capacity of 363 MW and a total thermal capacity of 966 MW, ELEKTRÁRNY OPATOVICE ranks among the leading energy suppliers in the Czech Republic. EOP supplies heat for almost 60,000 households in the Hradec Králové - Pardubice - Chrudim region and also for several hundred customers in the category of industrial installations and administrative, commercial, sport, health and cultural facilities. In 2010, EOP supplied its customers with a total of 4,422 TJ of heat. The heat supply system of Elektrárny Opatovice is comprised of approximately 290 km of heat supply networks. In 2010, EOP generated 2.02 TWh of electricity.
ELEKTRIZACE ŽELEZNIC PRAHA is a leading domestic supplier in the area of transport infrastructure, to which it supplies comprehensive deliveries of complete high-voltage equipment. It focuses on the development, design, production and installation of traction lines for railways and urban public transport in the Czech Republic and abroad. The company has recently extended its operations to include turnkey deliveries of supply stations, converter stations, and transformer stations.
