PEAS

PRVNÍ ENERGETICKÁ, a.s. (PEAS) is one of the key electricity traders in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its primary focus is electrical energy purchase and sale on the wholesale markets in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. PEAS also works with independent power producers (IPP), not only in the form of one-off purchases but also as part of systematic co-operation related to its acceptance of the responsibility for imbalances. In 2008 PEAS's sales amounted to CZK 9,396 million and it traded 6.8 TWh of electricity, surpassing the three-year average quantity of traded electrical energy. PEAS's strategic objectives include further development of export/import opportunities and promotion of co-operation with IPPs, the latter being one of the company's priorities.  www.peas.cz

UNITED ENERGY TRADING

United Energy Trading (UET) is a leading independent supplier of electricity, natural gas and related services to final customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. UET's advantage is access to its own electricity generating capacities, i.e., the Most-Komořany and Plzeňská energetika combined heat & power plants. In 2009, UET supplied 1,100 GWh of electricity and 700 GWh in natural gas to all industries and services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the low voltage segment, UET is the least expensive supplier on the market as regards electricity supplies for corporate and household customers. Over the time of its operation on the market, UET has become a sought-after and respected electricity and natural gas supplier; the reasons include not only its competitive prices but also its customer focus, flexibility, and a broad range of additional related services that it offers.  www.uet.cz
