Pavel Horský, member of the Board of Directors of EPH stated: “We are proud that we have received this medium risk rating from Sustainalytics. EPH is for years integrating ESG as one of the decisive aspects of the group strategy, in particular in the transition from coal to new energies in a targeted, transparent and socially responsible way. During this year we have clearly articulated EPH’s ESG targets aiming at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. We view the ESG rating of Sustainalytics as clear sign that we are on the right track. EPH is fully committed to a real transition from coal, i.e. replacement of old coal fired power plants by zero or low carbon power plants, reflecting the needs of the different regions and paying full attention to potential material implications for regions and people.“
