EPH receives an ESG Risk Rating of 21.3, confirming its position in the medium-risk category, 17th in Multi-utilities Sector

Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (“EPH”) is proud to announce that as of December 2022 it has received an ESG Risk Rating of 21.3 from Morningstar Sustainalytics, a leading provider of environmental, social and governance research, ratings and data assessing companies’ resilience to environmental, social and governance risks. This result represents an improvement in the score from 22.0 received last year (the lower score, the better) and confirms EPH’s position in the medium-risk category. EPH secured 17th position out of over 80 companies from the multi-utilities sector. The results reflect EPH’s strong management of ESG risks and its implementation of suitable policies, programs, and initiatives.
In response to the issued rating update, Pavel Horský, member of the Board of Directors of EPH, stated that “We are very delighted about this result which we view as a sign that EPH is on the right track in its sustainability efforts. ESG will remain at the heart of our strategy and EPH will continue to drive the energy transition which is socially just and considers unique needs of regions where we operate. Our long-term plans are centered around replacement of remaining coal plants with zero or low-emission alternatives, ultimately enabling a smooth transition to a carbon-neutral energy system”.
